Robbie Yapp

Robbie had the privilege to attend Lancaster Baptist Church from an early age until he graduated from West Coast Baptist College. It was at WCBC where he met his wife (Sarah), and where the Lord began to burden their hearts for both the people of Los Angeles and planting a church. This burden led them to begin working with a church planter in the LA area, and would eventually lead them to Bible Baptist Church in Gardena where they have been serving for the past five years. Over the course of their time at Bible Baptist Church, their burden has grown, and they believe the Lord is now leading them to plant a church in LA.

Hawthorne is a city in Los Angeles County with a population of nearly 89,000 people. This city has been coined “The city of good neighbors,” as it borders eleven other cities and non incorporated areas in the South Bay region of Los Angeles. If you were to take Hawthorne and everything it borders, you would have a population totaling half a million people. With over 90 languages spoken in this region, it is among the most ethnically diverse in all of Los Angeles. To the best of our knowledge, there is no other likeminded church that is preaching a clear presentation of the gospel in this city.
