Church Planting in Fountain Valley, CA

We are the Connors family — Matt and Irene, along with our family.
I was saved as a junior high student, and not long after, I surrendered my life to full-time ministry as a teenager. That calling was strengthened and confirmed during my years in Bible college, where I studied ministry and prepared for what God had ahead.
For the past 17 years, I have had the incredible privilege of serving at Faith Baptist Church in Canoga Park, California. During that time, I’ve poured my life into reaching people, leading worship, discipling teenagers, building a thriving youth ministry, and helping cultivate a strong sense of community within the church. It has truly been one of the greatest joys of my life to serve alongside my pastor, Dr. Tim Rasmussen, and to invest in so many lives for the cause of Christ.
In recent days, however, the Lord has been stirring our hearts toward church planting. This was not something we pursued lightly or quickly—we love where God has placed us—but through prayer, counsel, and the clear leading of God’s Word, it has become evident that He is calling us to step out in faith.
Our desire is to plant a church that is deeply rooted in Scripture, centered on the gospel, and committed to reaching people, discipling believers, and raising up the next generation for Christ. We want to build a church that doesn’t just gather a crowd, but genuinely changes lives—one person, one family at a time.
We are currently preparing to begin deputation in the middle of June, with the goal of launching gatherings and interest services in the fall, and, Lord willing, officially launching the church on Easter of 2027.
Our heart is simple: to faithfully preach the gospel, love people, and establish a church that will stand as a light in its community for years to come.
We would be honored to have you pray with us as we take this step of faith—that God would guide every detail, provide the needed support, and prepare the hearts of the people we will reach.
