Santa Ana Baptist Church, Theodore, AL

We believe that God has called us to spread the gospel to every creature, and that’s why we launched this new ministry to reach the English-speaking people in our community.

Who we are:

My name is Ringo Ayala. God has called me, along with my family, to start the Santa Ana Baptist Church. My wife’s name is Esther, and God has blessed us with seven beautiful daughters: Keren, Lydia, Naomi, Hannah, Sarah, Rachel, and Elizabeth Grace. As an 8-year-old boy, my dad led me to the Lord. At the age of 12, God called me into the ministry. I graduated from our local Bible college in Long Beach and served as an assistant pastor for 11 years. After much prayer and fasting, God led us to start a Spanish-speaking church in the city of Santa Ana. By God’s grace, our church has grown and flourished into a soul-winning, disciple-making church.

For years we have faithfully preached in Spanish, but as we looked around, we saw a real need: many people in our community speak English but don’t have a church that clearly preaches the gospel and faithfully teaches the Bible. Every week, as we go out to preach the gospel, we meet people who speak English—and since we speak it as well, after much prayer, planning, and fasting, we decided to launch our English ministry. We realized that God was opening a door for us to reach more souls, and we chose to obey.

Vision:

Our vision is to establish a strong English-speaking church within our congregation. We want to see families transformed, young people discipled, and leaders raised up to impact not only our city, but also other English-speaking communities. We dream of a bilingual ministry walking together in one faith, with one heart, taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.

With that clear vision in our hearts, we went to work with faith and dedication.

How we started:

In the first five weeks, we have distributed over 10,000 bilingual invitations door to door. As a church, we have prayed and fasted, seeking God’s guidance and power. In addition, we mobilized a committed team that is helping to establish this ministry as a solid extension of our local church. Every step has been an act of obedience and faith, trusting that God will give the increase.

Early Fruit and What’s Ahead:

In these past weeks, the Lord has confirmed to us that we are on the right path. Every Sunday we’ve had new visitors, and we’ve already seen fruit: people saved and baptized. God is bringing people from diverse backgrounds—Hispanic, African-American, Anglo, and even Iranian—which shows us the potential to reach a truly multicultural generation.

What we’re seeing most is a spiritual hunger among young people, especially college students.

We ask for your prayers as we work toward our official launch in September.

We believe the best is yet to come, and we want to remain faithful in fulfilling the Great Commission.
